Cultural polish
Cultural polish is a post-translation refinement process focused on enhancing fluency, naturalness, and cultural relevance. It may include adjusting idiomatic expressions, humor, metaphors, forms of address, measurements, date formats, and culturally sensitive references. The goal is to ensure the content reads as if originally created in the target language, while remaining faithful to the source message and purpose.
Rush delivery
Rush delivery means the translation project must be completed within a timeframe shorter than standard turnaround times. This typically requires priority scheduling, allocation of additional linguistic or technical resources, and adjusted workflows to ensure timely delivery. Rush delivery may incur additional fees and is subject to feasibility based on project scope, language pair, and file complexity.
Desktop publishing amends
DTP (Desktop Publishing) services involve adjusting the layout, formatting, and graphical elements of translated content to reflect the structure and appearance of the source files. This service applies to DTP associated file type such as InDesign, with or without the generation of the final files (typically PDFs). This may include font management, text reflow due to language expansion or contraction, alignment of images and tables. The final quality checks to ensure the translated document is publication-ready.
